Matcha tea, originally used for the Japanese Tea Ceremony, has been around for thousands of years but has just recently gained popularity in the United States. Made only from premium Tencha tea leaves, matcha fans love this powdered green tea for its vegetal flavors and the unusual process for making it. Want to enjoy this antioxidant-packed, energizing beverage in the comfort of your own home? Read on to learn how to make a bowl of matcha tea.
To prepare a proper bowl of matcha you must dissolve the tea powder into water. Once dissolved, the liquor should be thick, frothy, and green in color.
